Nick Lachey Breaks His Silence On Ex-Wife Jessica Simpsons Memoir Detailing Their Past Together

Jessica Simpson is definitely an ‘Open Book’ in her memoir with the same name and that means revealing personal details about her life and past relationships as well. One person in particular that the public already knows she’s written quite a lot about is her ex-husband Nick Lachey!

That being said, it makes perfect sense that fans are wondering what his take is on this situation.

Well, as it turns out, not only did she not reach out to him prior to the publication, but Nick is yet to read a work of what she had to say!

Nick has broken his silence on his former wife’s tell-all book which is set to be released on February 4.

However, while the whole thing is not yet out, there have been spoiler excerpts released and one in particular has detailed Jessica and Nick’s marriage and split.

That being said, Jessica claims, among other things, that after their divorce had been finalized, they still hooked up a few times and that Nick also begged her not to leave him.

While in attendance at Michael Rubin’s Fanatics Super Bowl Party, Nick chatted with Us Weekly, telling the publication his about the upcoming memoir.

Asked if he’d checked out the book before being published, since he’s featured in it, he replied: ‘Well, no, I have not read a single word. Both of us [he and wife Vanessa] have not read the book, and no, she [Simpson] did not reach out before it was published.’

As you may know, Jessica Simpson wrote about the fact that after seeing him portray himself as a ‘victim’ in his 2006 documentary, she felt responsible and called him over.

They hooked up but that only made it more clear to her that there was ‘no connection’ and gave her ‘confirmation that this man was not my husband anymore. The whole situation was very dark. I didn’t want the energy in my home. When he walked out the door, I knew I would never see him again.’
