Lewis Blissett is an English singer, television personality, and social media star, best known as the contestant in the reality-TV singing competition The Voice Kids UK in 2017. For his debut performance, he sang Cry Me Out by Pixie Lott, a singer who was also the judge in the TV show alongside will.i.am and Danny Jones, and who Lewis chose as his mentor. In the 2nd round of competition, Lewis sang Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran, and for his next performance on July 15, 2017, he performed Who’s Loving You by Motown. Despite receiving a standing ovation from both the judges and the audience, he was eliminated during that episode, having only reached semifinals.

After the competition ended, his social media following increased rapidly and he continued to release covers of songs by Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Zayn Malik, Billie Eilish, and many other well-known singers. Lewis Blissett released his debut solo single titled Sick Thoughts on May 14, 2019, under Asylum Records UK. It was met with praise by the audience and managed to chart relatively highly, passing the 20th spot on the daily iTunes chart within 20 hours.

In 2016, via his YouTube channel, Lewis also began recording and posting covers of popular songs by Kesha, Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Mac Miller, Zayn Malik, The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, and Little Mix.

He grew up in Old Town, England, United Kingdom.

Lewis began singing when he was 4 or 5 years old and was enamored by the music of Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, and Ariana Grande.

The school that he attended uploaded his cover of Demi Lovato‘s song Stone Cold on their Facebook page, which quickly went viral.

Lewis had no idea what he would pursue if music didn’t pan out.

His singing teacher at Commonweal School, Ali Sutcliffe, said about his talent: “When you look at Lewis you would be surprised. He is a tiny little guy and you don’t expect the voice that comes out of him. It’s amazingly powerful. He captivates the audience.”

Lewis was very close to his grandmother, Lorraine.

In 2018, he asked Adam Gregory, who founded U Support Children’s Charity to organize a concert in Lewis’s town so that his grandmother could attend it. She was ill and undergoing chemotherapy treatments for lung cancer at the time.

His grandma thankfully managed to attend, and all of the proceeds of the concert went to charity. She, unfortunately, died in early 2019, which truly left Lewis heartbroken.

Lewis was regularly asked about his sexuality because of his unique dressing style and tendency to paint his nails and wear jewelry. He answered that gender roles shouldn’t be defined and that no one should care whether he’s gay or not.
