Ian Connor aka King of Youth (he named himself who) is apart from being an American fashion model, many other things, among them are; a creative consultant, a fashion guru and a social media mogul, yeah! there is something like that now. And oh, he is perhaps best known as one of the members of the A$ap Mob.

Connor was born on January 2, 1993 in New York. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia when he was 9 and returned to New York when he was 18. He was, however, credited by Atlanta for giving him the life he lives now.
In an interview with Complex magazine in 2015, Ian revealed that he never knew his father and got on well with his mother, even though they didn’t speak to each other. He added that his mother did not seem to understand what he was doing and that he made no effort to force her. However, he maintained that he loves his mother the same way she loves him.
There was a time when Ian’s mother, in an effort to get his attention, took to Instagram announcing that she was his mother. Something Ian said started to upset him, though he would later realize that social media was his only outlet, as she could barely talk to him.
Ian left school in grade 9 and started living on the streets ‘without borders’.
Soon he began to build a following on his Tumblrblog which began to gain attention from 2012. On Tumblr, Ian marketed his range of ‘L3NF’ t-shirts and sweatshirts, which he co-designed with Glyn Brown.

The line became a hit after designer Will Fry drew a Warhol-style Connor face on top that was sported by rappers like Trinidad James. This eventually opened the doors to modeling gigs for Ian.
In 2012, when he was just 19, Ian was contacted by Virgil Abloh, creative director of Kanye Wests, who became a close friend.
After his 2012 hiatus, streetwear brands like Lights, Stussy and Bape began contacting Ian for gigs. Ian’s achievements earned him a place in the 25 Under 25: Young Style Leaders in 2012.
Ian then became friends with A$ap Bari of A$ap Mob., who looks up to Virgil Abloh as a role model. Due to his friendship with Bari, Ian fit in with the team and became friends with other team members like A$ap Rocky, who became his manager, as he started his turn to serve as Rocky’s creative director. Ian said Rocky was the first father figure in his life. He is the face of creative collective Rocky’s AWGE.
In 2015, Ian began working with Kanye as a creative consultant for the debut collection of his Yeezy clothing line. Ian has also modeled for the brand. During Season 2 of Yeezy, Ian drew a lot of attention by smoking a cigarette while scrolling through his phone.
In addition to Yeezy, Ian has also consulted for other streetwear brands such as 424, Pink Dolphin and Guillermo Andrade’s Emotionally Unavailable. He worked as creative director for Wiz Khalifa and Kylie Jenner. Ian owns a sneaker design/line he dubbed Revenge x Storm. He manages Atlanta rapper Playboy Carti.

Ian received support from his rapper friend Theophilus London who stood up for him but after a misunderstanding and a public fistfight posted on social media, took back his words, calling Ian a rapist.
