Five songs you need to listen to from the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack

Publish date: 2024-06-10

Fifty Shades Freed, the final installment in the Fifty Shades trilogy, makes its way to cinemas today. Alongside the movie, the official soundtrack has been released in full.

Over the past few weeks, we were treated to three songs from the soundtrack: ‘For You’ by Rita Ora and Liam Payne, ‘Capital Letters’ by Hailee Steinfeld and BloodPop, and ‘Heaven’ by Julia Michaels. However, following the soundtrack’s release today, there are 19 additional songs just waiting to be listened to.

Whilst the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack as a whole is rather incredible, we’ve narrowed down five of the best songs which you need to listen to straight away.

Whethan and Dua Lipa – ‘High’

‘High’ sees DJ and producer Whethan team up with one of the most talked about female artists of the moment, Dua Lipa. The track boasts a slick yet dark electronic beat, and is a little bit darker than Whethan’s usual sound. Dua’s unmistakable vocals are full of passion, which creates a really powerful offering.

Julia Michaels – ‘Are You’

‘Are You’ is Julia Michaels’ second contribution to the soundtrack. Whilst ‘Heaven’ shows off her sultry side, ‘Are You’ is a more uptempo offering. However, the songstress still delivers a flirty vibe which is truly infectious to the ear. Both tracks prove that Julia is an incredibly versatile talent and she can do no wrong in our eyes.

Sia – ‘Deer In Headlights’

It’s official, Sia is the queen of soundtracks. Whether it’s an uplifting track for My Little Pony: The Movie or an inspirational anthem for Lion, Sia always knows how to set the tone. Her contribution to the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack is no different, with ‘Deer In Headlights’ suiting the tone of the movie perfectly. The track is completely hypnotic and we just cannot get enough of it.

Jacob Banks and Louis The Child – ‘Diddy Bop’

Jacob Banks and Louis The Child have teamed up for the classic sounding ‘Diddy Bop’. Described by Jacob as a song about “celebrating life and getting lost in a moment”, the track has a chilled, easy listening vibe to it. It’s safe to say that Jacob’s soulful vocal over Louis The Child’s slick production is completely captivating.

Jamie Dornan – ‘Maybe I’m Amazed’

Who knew Mr Grey could sing? Jamie Dornan himself has contributed to the soundtrack and it’s definitely worth a listen! Performing a cover of Paul McCartney’s ‘Maybe I’m Amazed’, the bonus track is bound to make fans of Christian Grey and Jamie himself swoon for the foreseeable.
