Billy Bob Thornton Says He And Angelina Jolie Still Keep In Touch To This Day

According to a report from Us Magazine, the actor, Billy Bob Thornton, recently revealed that he and Angelina Jolie still talk every once in awhile nearly twenty years after they first split up.

The 64-year-old Bad Santa alum, while speaking with reporters at the presentation of Goliath on Friday, claimed that he and Angelina were “good friends,” and had been so for “years and years and years.” Billy said to reporters that he and Angelina, while they don’t see each other often, talk regularly.

The 44-year-old actress and Billy Bob Thornton first got married in May of 2000. Billy and Angelina split up in June 2002 and ultimately got divorced a year later in May of 2003. Speaking with reporters for GQ Magazine in 2016, Thornton claimed he never felt “good enough” to be with Angelina.

Furthermore, Thornton claimed that his goals in life didn’t coincide with hers. Jolie is known for her extensive philanthropic work, which has only increased in the last few years.

The actor said to The Hollywood Reporter in October of 2014 that their romance was a “crazy time,” and he was never “overly fond of it,” before going on to reference the notorious vials they used to wear on their necks.

According to Billy, they were apart for months at a time, because she was off filming the Tomb Raider movies, and he was doing Monster’s Ball, so they thought it would be a good idea to slice each other with a razor blade, collect the blood, and wear their blood around each others’ necks.

Afterward, Jolie started dating Brad Pitt, whom she married in August 2014. However, Angelina filed for divorce from the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor in September 2016.
