Who is Christabelle?

Christabelle Borg or known more simply as just Christabelle, is a Maltese singer-songwriter and television presenter. Borg began working on a career when she was just a teenager, hosting Maltese television shows, ‘Teen Trouble’ and ‘Teen Traffic’. The singer-songwriter is no stranger to Eurovision as her first attempt at representing Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest was all the way back in 2005 at the Junior Edition of the contest with the song, ‘Going Wild’.

Although she failed to qualify, this didn’t stop Christabelle from picking herself up and trying again which is exactly what she did. In 2014, Borg returned to Malta Eurovision Song Contest with high hopes for her entry, ‘Lovetricity’ yet she finished at an under-whelming eighth place. She also attempted to qualify as Malta’s representative for two consecutive years in 2015 and 2016. However it was her most recent entry, ‘Taboo’ which saw her becoming Malta’s representative for Eurovision 2018.

After finding success in television presenting, Christabelle moved to Los Angeles in order to pursue a career in her other passion and studied music at Mount St. Mary’s University. After graduating in 2014, Borg moved back to her home country to study Accounting at the University of Malta. It wasn’t until the Maltese singer-songwriter moved back there that she realised she wanted to be apart of the Eurovision Song Contest.

When is her birthday?

Christabelle was born on 28th April 1992, making the Maltese singer-songwriter 25 years old.

What is Christabelle’s most popular song?

Although she has a wide catalogue of singles, ‘Taboo’ is Christabelle’s most popular song to date, as she will perform it on behalf of Malta for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. As Eurovision commences, the song is destined to get more popular with Eurovision fans and critics alike.
